The Gift of a Photo

Nothing much going on this evening except that sometimes I simply need to smile.

Do you ever take the time to just seek out a smile..?

I have a collection of photos that help me accomplish that and I thought I would share a few with you.

I don’t know what the magic is about a good photo but I am truly grateful to be able to have access to these gems via Pinterest. The images just make me feel good and sometimes in the current of a full life, it’s nice to take a break and take in an image that is pure, simple and upbeat. I can almost hear their laughter… it’s absolutely infectious.

Sometimes it’s a challenge to find laughter during the day..

Family, friends, work, finances, illness… it’s worth the effort to schedule time with your tribe to keep the funny bone working but it doesn’t always happen.

Tonite, after a very productive and hectic 2 weeks, I find myself needing some space and a reminder what it’s like to find things simply – funny.

[Humanity] has unquestionably one really effective weapon—laughter. Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution—these can lift at a colossal humbug—push it a little—weaken it a little, century by century, but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand. — Mark Twain

So.. THANK YOU to the photographers that capture these beautiful, simple and cheery moments.

In a society such as this, it’s so refreshing to be able to so easily dial into a moment so bright and uplifting.
